Hey :}
I'm writing a supernatural novel and I recently realized that my antagonists plans were too overused. So I need help thinking of a new one.
My antagonist is a demon, Sar, from the seventh century B.C. . The story is set in modern times, and three years ago the antagonist was defeated by a angel, Manakel, and sealed in hell by witches since the angel didn't have the power to do it himself. Three years later he gets out of hell through a ritual done at the begining of the book. Once out, he extracts revenge on the witches that imprisioned him, would the angel too but he's dead already due to events in the novel before Sars release. Here's where I'm stuck though. What does he do now? I need him to have a plan that my protagonist gets involved with and has to stop him. The protagonist has That angels blood in her, making her a target, but I can't just have him go after her. That feels like it's been done to many times. I want action, not him going after her and her escaping death through impossible odds. He's a very old and powerful demon and she's a part angel human girl who's new to all of this so her continously escaping him sounds impossible.
I want him to have a goal, something bad, something that my protagonist has to stop, over time of course, right away wouldn't be realistic. But I can't think up anything that sounds interesting. I'm terrible when it comes to getting into the heads of evil.
All I can think of is "Take over the world" "Open the portals to hell, releasing a ton of demons to rampage on earth" "Try and release a more powerful demon from hell for something" "Cause chaos on earth". None of those are even good, right? So, yeah. I'm not sure what kind of goal my antagonist should have.
Can someone please help? Doesn't even have to be a full idea, just a small suggestion that could get my brain on a track.
Thank you so much if you can. :}
