Can I get some help with my Motorola Hint QA30?

I got a microSD card for my phone & i dont know if its the right kind. The actual card says SDHC and i dont wanna open it because then I cant return it if it isnt the right kind... So....is the micro card supposed to be smaller than the slot for it? Do you know if theres a difference between microSD and microSDHC? anybody know?
