Can i get rid of Optus zoo, and search with vodafone live instead?

Try to update your phone's software.

I am annoyed at the startup and shutdown screen on my Optus phone too. There doesn't seem to be a way to get rid of it - it's like it's programmed into it.

I had an old phone with Vodafone and moved it to Optus. It still had Vodafone-based settings which I couldn't get rid of.
 
I just bought the new samsung omnia, which is unlocked, but has the optus software on it. Is there anyway i can get rid of optus zoo..or make vodafone live my web search provider...

...i can't even open my multimedia txt messages without it connecting to optus
