Can I get my financial aid back?

I'm currently on Financial Aid Suspension because I have attempted more than 150% of credit hours to complete my degree. I had switched majors and most of the credits that I had taken don't even apply to the new degree that I want to go for. I know it's my fault and there's no body to blame but me. But i want to know what are my changes (if any) of appealing the suspension and getting my financial aid reinstated? And some of my credits were transferred over from another college and really can't be applied to my major. If i wrote this in the appeal letter would it make a difference?
Any help on this would be appreciated. Oh and I'm a 3.8 student, never dropped or failed a class.

It's unlikely that you'll get financial aid back because you've exceeded the maximum attempted credit hours. If you only have a small amount of credits left (like 12), then the chance is better that they may cover 1 more semester. However, if you still have a lot of credits left... then they are not going to continue covering you. It states on the financial aid website that there are maximum limits to receiving financial aid - if you exceed them prior to finishing your degree, then you will have to pay out-of-pocket.
