I read an article about a jury duty summons that was supposedly generated after filling out a Census form in Boston. The person had filled out that her cat was a member of the household. Then her cat received a jury duty notice. I don't see how this could have accidentally happened by filling out a census form.
I thought the census abides by title 13 of the us code that protects and keeps all information provided confidential, even from other government agencies. If state census records are sealed for 72 years, how can jury duty for anyone (let alone a cat) be called from a census form?
