I'm trying to do some classes at PBCC. I know NOTHING about aid, loans, grants etc. I filled out my Fafsa, had an EFC of 4820 and got denied. I'm married, no kids. I filed my 2008 tax return as single head of household but I put on my Fafsa that I was married. Should I have said I was single on my Fafsa to reflect the information on my tax return? Could that have made a difference on the decision? I went to the school thinking I could get some detailed one on one info. Maybe I filled out the form wrong, or maybe there are other options. Basically I'm wondering if there is such a thing like a financial aid advocate? Any help would be appreciated!
