I'm thinking about joining the Texas Army Nat'l Guard and my recruiter said that there could be a possibility that I could get deployed overseas. I have a 2 year old daughter and I don't know if having a good career in the guard (just one weekend a month, 2 weeks summer) is worth me being away from my daughter months upon a time. Any feedback would be helpful.
