im 14, 15 on December 2. i own a 40-30- 2x 10 gals- and soon to be getting another 30 gallon or a 20 gallon, 1 brackish and 3 freshwater. anyways i know more than half of the people that go into my feed store, i am also very well known there because i go in there about everyday for fish- and what ever comes to my head while im there. they also hired a girl that doesnt know really anything about fish so she cant ever answer any of my questions but shes there to catch fish and put them in a bag and i was thinking if they know me and trust me they would hire a 14 year old that knows more than just catching and putting them in bags and can answer questions and whatever they need i might know what it. but the only thing holding me back from getting an application is i am only 14. also we live in a very small town and the only other fish stores are an hour and a half away so this is the only place i a can go for everyday requirements and its right up the street. thank you much for answering.

I guess it depends on the owner of the specific fish store you want to work at and how much they need an employee. I'm 14 too and I feel like I know a lot more than some of the employees at a store near me too. I've seen parents buy a ton of fish for their children without knowing the requirements to keep them, and the employees just bag the fish and let them buy it. Sometimes it's probably just because they want a sale, but sometimes I honestly don't think they know what they're doing. I would go ask the owner for a job and convince him that you know what you're doing. Good luck :D
