Can I get a Honda Certified Used Warranty on a privately sold car?

I am looking at a 2005 Civic, and the owner says that it's certified and I should be able to send something into Honda to get the 7 year warranty. I can only find information on buying used from dealerships, so I'm not sure how to verify that it is certified and whether or not I'll be able to get the warranty. Thanks!
 
The other posters just made stuff up. This is from Honda's website.

Is the Honda Certified Used Car warranty transferable to a new owner?
Yes. The Certified warranty is transferable to a new owner in a sale from a private party to another private party. Simply complete the Change of Ownership Card at the back of the Customer Warranty Manual and mail it in to American Honda.
