I currently have the Samsung Intensity II, which is a horrible phone. The battery doesn't last, and it is super laggy. I told one of my friends this, and she said, "I have an old extra Blackberry lying around, do you want it?" I said, "SURE!" She's bringing it to me tomorrow, but before I take the FREE Blackberry, I want to make sure it's compatible with my plan. I am on a BASIC plan, meaning NO web, text, media, or anything. Just 1400 minutes a month with a family share plan.
Can they (Verizon) activate this phone (Blackberry CURVE 8330, 8530, or 9300 - I can't remember) on my (parent's) plan without adding a data plan to it? Because if it adds a data plan, I can't use it.
