I was driving at night and i got a fix it ticket for having burned out license plate lights. I was looking at the back of the ticket and it says i have to send it in in 20 days or risk getting a suspended license and a fine. Its 2 little light bulbs. i swap engines out of my cars, 2 light bulbs is nothing. On the the back it also says that i need the license number of a registered shop that's done the repair some such non sense. So its like 2 dollars for the part but a shop would charge like 30 or 40 for their time and to fill this thing out. so what are my options? This is in Connecticut and was given by a town cop from putnam.
Can i fix my own car when i got a fix it ticket?
