fish crazy

i was walking past a river nearby my house and then i noticed these fish so i cought them and took them home and put them in my emty tank
i didnt know what to feed them so i went back to the river and looked for some bugs in the water that i thought they eat
i found these shrimp like things so i fed them it and they ate them hole!
after i got fed up of going out and catching bugs for them i put them back
now i have tropical fish and i was wondering if they would eat the shrimp things
can i go back and get some so they can live in my tank
i dont mind if my fish eat them but it would be nice to have some shrimp in my tank cos no pet shop near me sells freshwater shrimp just salt water
can i put them in my tank???
the shrimp things wer about 1cm and the biggest fish i have are 2 angel fish
