Can I eat the mushrooms that grow in my garden?

I have several little white mushrooms popping up all over my garden. First I want to know if it will harm my plants and second how can I tell if they are poisonous or not?
 
!! dont eat them, look them up!! im sure you could find plenty of info on them if u checked out a library book on mushrooms nd then looked them up. so many ppl die from eating plants that are poisonous, becuz theyr told the wrong thing or they have the wrong idea. do lots of research first.
iv nevr heard of mushrooms hurting other plants. they only decompose materials, i would think they would help ur plants.
