My husband spilled both gallons of the custom paint we bought for our son's mural. We're painting a spongebob face on one wall.
I don't have enough cash to go buy more paint, but we have 2 gallons of plain white from Big Lots left over from the doghouse we painted. My husband thinks we can just put them in a large bucket and throw some yellow dye in and make it yellow!
Yes I know paint at our local retailer of choice is about $15 a gallon, yes I know they could match it for me, yes I know it would be 'easier', but we've spent enough on the makeover and it' jus one wall.. It's hot and we're primed and ready to start tomorrow and he'll be back by the 4th. I really just want to wake up at 6am and get this going. Has anyone done this before? What's a better dye to use? How should we mix it?
