I have a 1998 Jeep cherokee sport that I just took to the mechanic - he said that my front right u-joint is almost broken and that I need to get it fixed. I'm having my brother replace it for significantly cheaper, but I need to drive it about 30 miles to get it to him. I've heard that I should be okay if I avoid highways, but was hoping to get some other opinions/advice.
Can I drive a jeep with an almost broken u-joint?
