Can I download ringtones to z500a without wireless internet?

Hello... I recently switched to Cingular and received my new z500a this weekend. I did not sign up for the MEdia service - trying to save a few bucks - but I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to download ringtones without having internet service. The Cingular site has some ringtones you can buy by sending a text message, but when I do that, it simply sends me a link to a website that I cannot access. Am I missing something? Would I be able to download ringtones directly to my PC and then transfer them via the USB cable?
 
well there isint any free wireless internet, the best way to get them is with a data cable, and its free :D all you do is buy the data cable
 
Okay, that was my question... if I buy the data cable, will I be able to download ringtones and the like without signing up for the wireless internet package. Looks like that's a "yes." With AT&T (back in the day!) I could buy ringtones without having an internet connection - they were just sent to my phone. Nice of Cingular/S.E. to provide this phone with just a few mediocre tones and make you buy extra services/equipment to get more! :rolleyes:

yeah, no need to sign up for internet just upload them with the program from sony ericsson and your set
 
I have the cable and software from S/E and I have been able to transfer pics and stuff with MMS home studio but havent figured out the sound file transfer. :sad: I would like to use some of my mp3 and wav. There does not appear to be a help file with the sony erricson software. :flamemad:
 
Hi , I just managed to update Ringtones into my T310 ,and now the Software is not detecting my j300 I am confused . Please give some alternative software link to check if my Phone RS 4200 is not destroyed I am using """ Christersson SendFile Version 2.0.6 BETA""
