can i download and run an application on a flash drive?

i want to print coupons that require a barcode printer application download. i dont have a printer at home but i do at work. but i can't download applications on my work computer. seems like i read somewhere that i can download and run applications on a flash drive? is that correct?

Wow. Yes. You can run a portable program off of a flash drive. As long as the program doesnt need to install special settings to the computer you install it to, you can run it off of a flash drive.
Here's an alternative. Take a snapshot of the barcode from the computer using Alt + printscreen (located above the delete and home keys) and then paste it into paint or something. You can then save the picture a print it at work without any special software.
