Can i download a torrent, and then simply burn it onto a blank disc using windows...

...media player...? ...or do i need to download something that enables me to do so. also, will the DVDs be good quality? If not, id rather watch them on my laptop then watch a poor quallity DvD.

Also, what kind of DVD discs do i need to get? And how do i know my laptop is able to burn DVDs?
 
Search online this is not the place to be asking how to burn your bootleg downloads.
 
what kind of torrent are you going to download? if its a software torrent, movie torrent, games torrent? if its a movie, you need to find a program to convert it to iso so you can burn it as an image file. to burn it you need nero or some software that can burn iso to image file so you cannot use windows media player to burn it. and as far as if you can burn dvds on your laptop.. check your dvd/cd drive. if it says anything like rewritable then yeah you can burn dvds on it. hopefully this helps
