Or does it need to be defrosted beforehand?

If so, please may I have some cooking guidelines, such as time/temp etc?

Thank you.

Yes it's fine to cook it from frozen - oven it about 200 degrees (190 for fan assisted) for about 30-45mins. Make sure it's pipping hot before serving.

Yum!

Nope, definitely don't cook it from frozen, you'll give yourself food poisoning here hun! Defrost thoroughly, preferably at room temperature, and covered, say with kitchen towel/ tea towel even! Depending on size,180 degrees C for about 35 mins, then check and see how you're doing! I'm basing this on a fan assisted oven! Oh and I want some when you cook it!!!(lol)xx

Lola, in a way yes. I was in a hurry so I got my pie and put it in a warm oven at about 250F I think, to let it defrost slowly, then turned the heat up to 350F after i could pierce a skewer through it.

Side note for you. Was talking to a chef over here, he spotted me taking notes and realized who I was. I asked him about one of the meals I was having. He tipped me off by saying he puts a container of water in the oven, helps with the moisture content, and the food, does not come out dry.

I had to give his restaurant a good review, it was a dam hole in the wall, but inside the decor, service, food I could not fault it.
