...Yamaha receiver?RX-V1700? In order for me to receive sound to my second zone/room using this multi-room receiver, the sound must come thru in analog format. Because I currently use optical, I would need to hook up the RCA output of my cable box to my receiver. I'm wondering if that will damage my receiver, or if it will choose preference of the optical because it is higher quality. Or, would switching to an HDMI cable instead of the component video/optical combo would fix the problem because HDMI uses analog and digital together?
