Can I connect a neon light (that pulsates to beat) to my home stereo?

a friend used to have one a long time ago... he didnt have anything extra. he just connected some wires to the stereo and worked..
 
You could do what you said but it's not good for the system. Your home stereo is a 120v socket so you'd need a light accordingly. The correct and best way to do it is to buy a "light organ" kit. It's the thing you see the DJ's have that lights up to the beat of the music. This will work better, and you can have more than one color. They cost as little as $25 all the way up to several hundered. I had a kit that had 4 different lights and it only cost me $30.
 
well depend on the if it is 12 volt dc or 125volt ac. if it is dc you will need a power converter then yes you can do it . converter needed would cost you about $40 ..
