Can I change my gender and remain in the army?

I am currently in the army and I would like to stay. But I want to change my gender. I am a woman born in a man's body. The time has come to live in my truth. Can I still remain in the army if I change my gender? Is there anyway I can get tri-care to pay for my sex change?

I'm assuming this is not a serious question. But just in case it is, no you cannot do that and no insurance would cover that operation.

Honestly I don't believe they will let you stay if you do that. The military is already prejudiced against gays. Transgendered discrimination would be worse. Also, I sincerely doubt insurance will cover it.

No you where born a man in a mans body. Your just very...very...very gay.

Of course you wouldn't be able to remain in the military. How do you think your fellow male soldiers would feel if you sat next to them one day as Dan (random name) and then the next day you sat around them painting your finger nails as Danielle?

Please I'm begging you, get out of the military, your deeply not wanted there.

Of course you could, but I wouldn't recommend telling to anyone that it's you after you get the sex change, cause then they'll just kick you out of the army just cause of what you did. Meaning after you get the sex change, change your identity and enter as a new recruit in the army.
