Can I cancel my Tmobile data plan?

I just got a new mytouch 4g for free but had to sign a new two year contract and get the $30 unlimited data plan to get the deal. I don't think I need the data plan. I am always by wifi and would always just use wifi. Is there any part of the phone ( like the video chat ) that you have to have 4g to run it, and would therefore downgrade to the $10 data plan? Or can I just cancel the data plan next billing cycle??? Thanks
