I raised my military macaw from 5 weeks old. She has always been a little standoffish. She lives in a cage-free, free-flight aviary with four blue and gold macaws, two muloccans, one umbrella, two amazons, an eclectus and a plethora of cockatiels, alexandrian parakeets, lovebirds and parakeets. Although she is somewhat "king of the hill" she won't allow me to hang toys or chains. Instead, she comes over and bites my hands and fingers. She has also started lunging toward me with the biting motion when I get near. Any suggestions?
Can I break my military macaw from biting me and being aggressive toward me?
