can i boost a stock d16 honda engine?

this is my first car (96 civic dx 2dr) and i love it but it struggles to get over 100mph. the output is pretty pitiful at just over 100hp. is there any way to boost it to around 150hp, even if i get an inexpensive turbo and run less than 10psi? if i can get a turbo for less than $400, it might be worth it until i have enough to get a properly boosted b16.

let me know what my options are.
 
Your options are to leave it alone. Going 100mph on the highway is illegal and will get you plenty of speeding tickets.
The only reason you would need to boost the engine performance is if you will be racing the car at the track.
 
I thank a 100 mph is fast enough. what are you trying to do kill yourself? By the way that Honda should able to run over a100 mph anyway. ( Be smart )
