I am twenty-two years old and two years ago I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but since the diagnosis I have been on medication and have not had an episode.
I am planning a trip to Turkey in February. My parents have begged me not to go because they fear what might happen if I have a manic episode while abroad, and so they have hidden my passport. If they refuse to return my passport, my only recourse seems to be contacting the police. So before I buy the ticket or take legal action, I would like to know whether there is any legal action my parents can take to keep me from traveling.
