My ex and I had a nasty break up, I dealt with it by having a group of 10 or friends over every other weekend for dinner and alternate between my home and other members of the group. One thing always puzzled me though, every time the conversation centered around my ex, he would send me an email with snippet of things that I had said in my conversation with the group. Having had only one friend in common in the group, I set a trap to find out if a person I called friend for over a decade to see if she was the one doing this and limit my interaction with her.
Unable to accept my current stand, the bitch left her house which is over 10 miles away from mine to come to my house to tell a friend of mine a host of malicious and vicious gossips about me when she found out I was not home. She sided with my ex and is telling people that had she known that I was such a whore she would have never hung out with me. That her husband does not want her to associate with me.
Her gossiping backfired because the person she went to tell all this crap about me had called me on the phone and her voice was recorded saying all the stuffs that she said. I cut her off my life completely. She sent another friend to find out what I knew and to tell me that she didn't say any of those things I heard on the voice mail, I sent her an email treating to seek legal recourse if she didn't stop.
Was I wrong in doing this? I felt betrayed by her for having thrown away our friendship of a decade over this ****? I also feel that it was not her business to get involve in my personal business with my ex, because that is not what a true friend does. Was this girl my friend or an opportunist?
