I was driving in maidenhead today on a 40mph dual road and where there is a camera there's also a left turn.

The car behind me was right up behind me and the car on my right lane was drving dangerously in order to turn left, so i had little choice but to speed up passed the camera.

I don't mind the £60 but the 3 points matters to me. : /

So the question is if I kick up a fuss will it remove the 3 points or inevitably make things worse? Because I can only get 6 at the moment and 3 is 3 too many.
It's the guy on my right that deserves the ticket because he was turning in on me when the guy behind me was up my bum. The guy behinds not exactly doing anything wrong, just dangerous.

Why would the courts laugh? because i avoided an accident or think that it's wrong to get a ticket for avoiding and accident? pleb.

If i slowed down i would have crashed into one of em and the camera doesn't do the right lane so anyone can speed into it there.

I just wanted to know if it's worth kicking a fuss or accepting the shit that other people give me - I don't need your shit of 'you made a choice'

Your argument is the guy behind you was driving dangerously so you did? When they stop laughing in the court and hand you the court costs on top of your ticket, could you come back in here and let us know how that was? Thanks.

I don't see the argument that you had to speed up because the guy behind you was on your tail.
Slowing down would have created separation with the car on the right and may have had the car behind you go around

no the point is that you speeded and thats why he gave you the ticket if you didnt speed and he gave you a ticket then you can argue

You should argue because it was no choice for you because you could have got hurt.
The guy behind you should of got blamed for this. I don't even think you should get fined £60. The 3 points is definitely unessecary.

Sorry for the inconvience.
Hoped this helped.

Does no good. You chose to speed. YOu could have driven slow and if the other person had a problem he could have passed you. Or if he was riding your rear so hard it was not safe you should have called police.

To late now.

Fight it!! They say you can make it worse if you fight tickets but its a bluff, they just don't want spend time and $ in a court case. I say the worse that happens is you lose... "gotta be in it to win it"

sorry but that argument wouldn't wash with anyone

you could try it wouldn't make anything worse but i don't think they'd change the charges or fine
