I have a clean, medium sized pond inside my horse's paddock, and right now they drink out of it though, would it be okay to add pond fish to it? When the horses go in it to swim, will the fish automaticly swim out of the way, so they dont get smashed? And will it be clean enough, I do have animals going in and out of it, and a few frogs already live there.
My horses do have troughs to drink out of, I refill them everyday, they basically drink out of anything that's closer, although the pond water probably tastes better because it's more nateral than hose water, and I'm not sure if it matters, but I put in a small recycled water fall in the pond, to keep from algae growing, but I do plan on feeding the fish everyday, the pond at it's deepest is five feet, and it doesn't snow or anything during the winter here
