can i activate an alltel blacberry curve through verizon?

Yes you can and you should. If you don't switch over you contract to Verizon your bill is going to pile up. I had a Alltel Blackberry and Verizon charged me more on the bill. So I switch my phone to a verizon phone (which is now a LG-Env Touch) and my bill was cheaper. Verizon gave me a free upgrade too since my contract wasn't done yet with Alltel.
 
i currently don't have a contract thorugh anybody and don't have established credit being i'm only 18 but i just bought an alltel blackberry curve and was wondering if i am able to activate through verizon? please help me out.
but i don't have a contract in alltel to switch over, i'm wanting to start a plan with verizon and a friend of mine gave me her old blackberry so i didn't need to buy one but the phone is alltel
