Some teens are exceptionally gifted and can cope with degree level study but alot cannot.
IMO it would be best to continue on to do GCSE's and A Levels so you have a progression into the area of study and also have a base on which to start.
Even the transition between GCSE and A level is huge, i did English Literature in both and it was such a change between the two levels it takes a while to adjust.
So if you are very intelligent and think you can cope you can certainly try it, there is no harm but just make sure it is what you want. It is very easy to start resenting the subject and education if it all gets too overwhelming.
