I started using watercolor paper at around August. I had 3 pads, all with different sizes. Last night, as I was about to paint, I noticed something different about it. The water started to sink in like really fast, it looked like this...

I tried it on my other pad, the one I had in storage. But it was fine...

So what's the reason for this? Is it because of the heat or something else?
