i currently weigh 14 and a half stone and want to get down to the weight i was 2 years ago of 12 stone. disgracefully 4 a 26 year old i have a very large beer belly which people keep publicly pointing out to me and its making me very self conscious about the way i now look. can 15 minute stints on a rowing machine and exercise bike over a half hour every day help me to lose the weight i want?

Any exercise is going to help you lose weight! Just make sure you can do it on a regular basis as you need to consistently be working out for best results. A beer belly is mostly made up of stored glucose! I would recommend going to www.menshealth.co.uk and reading some of their articles on fitness, weight loss and health. It's all good stuff, and it'll give SO much information.

Of course. If it gets you into a sweat and gets your heartrate up, then go for it...
when you start losing weight/getting fitter, you should definitely add more like 10 minutes on the treadmill along with some weight lifting. (although, weight lifting won't immediately show a weight loss on the scale, you'll get toned at the same time and it will get the metabolic rate going which helps burn calories quicker).
And of course, give up (or at least, limit) the beer and eat healthy!
good luck
