can gatso speed cameras flash you in both directions?

i went past a Camera & saw a flash ,it was pointing in the opposit direction ie at the other side of the road & there were no lines on my side of the road,can they get you on either side of the road ,,thanks
 
I didnt think so... It mite have got a driver on the opposit side of the road. The best way to not get caught is to not speed though, that's why they are there in the first place x
 
not if theres no white marks they cant...but they may be able to extrapolate your speed using the ones on the other side.
