Can fish get to know their owners personally?

I was wondering this, if fish can become more friendly and loyal to their owners. I know it obviously wouldnt be to the extent of any other animals loyalty and knowledge but i was wondering if fish can. Because they have a very short memory, only lasting seconds, so how could they remember who their owners are?

even if they did have feelings and stuff they wouldnt be able to express it. their life begins and ends inside a tank once they're caught from the wild.
