Can financial aid be used for housing deposits on campus?

I am going to be living on campus this fall and they said I would need a 300 dollar deposit to insure it. i don't have this money right now! Can you use your Stafford loan or other scholarships to cover it? I dont know what to do because I need this spot secured but i dont have the 300$

Of course you can use the $$ for housing. Financial Aid is to help with the cost of going to college...Books, room, and board are included with the cost of going to college. Take $300 and secure you room, else live in you car or on someone couch for the up coming semester.
