because a friend of mine told me you could get worms, but i dont think so. I mean, i know you can get sick if you eat too much of it, but I dont think you can get WORMS...?
I dont eat eggs just raw tho. thank you so much for the great information, but i was mainly talking about just in cake batter or brownie or cookie dough batter. just an FYI, thank you tho!!!

Whoever gave you that line was just trying to pull your leg. I still wouldn't do it, though... It's a good way to get salmonella!

Eggs from infected poultry can also be contaminated with the virus and therefore care should be taken in handling eggs or raw egg products. However the most common problem from eating raw eggs is the bacterium (salmonella) that can be present. Salmonella enteritidis, can be inside perfectly normal-appearing eggs, and if the eggs are eaten raw or undercooked, the bacterium can cause illness. But I've never heard of anyone getting worms, although I'm sure that perhaps it is possible sense viruses can be transferred from the animal to the egg, but I would think it would only be on the outside shell and no one eats that so you should be safe from getting worms from an egg. Good Luck!!!
