Hello everyone.

My contact is up and I am open to switch to any provider. I live in the san jose/SF bay area, and any provider that provides good reception in that area is fine.

I used to have a Samsung a-670, so anything that size or smaller would be great.

In descending order of importance, I would say the features that matter to me are:

1. small size
2. mp3 ring tones
3. good camera
4. good reception
5. nice screen
6. light weight
7. ability to mess around with ring tones, games, etc. via data cable
8. flip phone design
9. usable internationally

I've already got a nano, so music isn't really a big issue, but a nice bonus I guess. I don't really plan to do much internet/data stuff on it.

I've been looking at the w810i on Cingular, but now I'm wondering if there are
any smaller/better alternatives? I'm a guy, and don't really wear really baggy pants, so a small phone that can slip easily into my pocket would be ideal. Thanks!

Hello. Thanks for the response.

Verizon has been fine for me so far, and I think Cingular is also pretty good from looking at the coverage maps. T-mobile and sprint are alright as well judging from the maps, not as good as the other two but still usable.

Thanks for the answer. Sorry, I forgot to mention that I don't really want to pay for an unlocked phone that's not available through a carrier. My choices are limited to those phones available with a contract discount through a carrier.

The flip design isn't necessary, I would prefer it but other things like the size of the phone, the quality of the camera, and the battery life are more important to me.

I initially mentioned the w810i because i heard that it was very small, had one of the best cameras, and had great battery life.

Do you have any other suggestions?

IMHO, tis better to pay for an unlocked quadband phone and not be tied to a contract, then to save a couple hundred $$ and be enslaved for 2 years.

YMMV.

But if you need a "Cingular" phone, the W810i is probably your best bet.
