I live in Milwaukee, WI so for 5 months out of the yr it gets really cold with snow... I used to have chrome 18" for my car and when i stored them in the garage last yr one of the rims started to peel and pit... It could be because i had them in our basement the previous yr for winter and our basement leaked so i think the moisture and then the cold didnt mix... Any ways i now have a suv wit 22" chrome rims and am wondering if they can be stored in the garage for the winter months... since my 18's started to peel it makes me nervous to put my 22"s out there even though i think the 18"s started to peel and pit because of the moisture in the basement... if it is safe then how should i store them?
can chrome rims be stored in a garage when it gets cold?
