Can blackra1n mess up my ipod touch?

I wanted to jailbreak my ipod touch 2nd gen(non mc) v 3.1.3 using blackra1n but I don't want to mess up my ipod. Can someone with experience please answer?
 
If you do everything correctly, no it will not mess your ipod touch up. If you do everything wrong, you just made an expensive paperweight.

If you are worried about it to this extent, ask someone to help you.
 
I dun think Blackra1n has the 3.1.3 jailbreak... Idk, haven't checked.
Anyway, I recommend using the Spirit jailbreak. It's just as easy. Everything is done for you, and Cydia is installed onto your iPod, so you don't have to go on Blackra1n and download it.

I have the exact same iPod and actually I'm using it to answer this and I have jail broken it several time using blackra1n and nothing is wrong with it I am currently not jail broken but the only thing that doesn't work in my iPod when it's jail broken is the custom keyboards
