from time to to time as in alternating between betta food and goldfish flakes.
example: today i feed the betta with betta food and then goldfish flakes another time then betta food, then goldfish flakes..etc..
i have a huge tub of goldfish flakes and was wondering how i can use it other than getting goldfish
i dont have a betta fish yet or a goldfish, im just asking to see if its okay or not before i buy the fish (:

i wouldnt think so, they have different types of food because they are different fish, very different, you should just keep feeding it its own food because what if that can harm your betta, well you cant do anything with the food right now if you cant feed it to your betta, and goldfish dont go with bettas, or any other fish other then neon tetras or botom feeders because bettas eat other fish, good luck!
edit: i meant nip other fish not eat sorry lol

Nope. Goldfish are omnivores and bettas are carnivores. You should alternate bettas food with frozen brine shrimp with blood worms as a treat.

EDIT: bettas don't eat other fish lol in their natural environment they eat bugs.

You should not do this goldfish and betta fish come from different parts of the world. They are different fish and have different digestive systems. They need different food. This is why Goldfish food has the word GOLDFISH on it with a pretty picture of what your fish looks like and the same with BETTA food.

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE??? its not like you dont have the betta food?

some people make absolutely no sense. Do you feed your dog, cat food? HELLO!!!!!
