can anyone write me a sad war poem please?

well found perfect song for a sad poem but i made a not so sad poem so could anyone right me sad poem that could fit sad songs :)

home is behind,
the world ahead, but there are many paths to tread,
through shadow,
to the edge of night,
until the stars are all alight,
mist and shadow,
cloud and shade,
all shallfade ,
all shall fade.

its not mine i picked it out from a movie. ok but if you want one, i will write for you. but for god sake, cheer up
 
This is asking too much of this site. My advice is for you to brainstorm all the images of war you think of. Now write down all the punchy words you can find which describe loss and horror. Select a place and time in which your poem will happen. Create a character or characters who are at this place. Think of one action which will take place.

Now write the poem and keep defining and refining it til it says something you find rewarding and thought provoking.
 
a sad poem about war? well im no sure if its sad, but i just thought of it off of the top of my head. ( just so you know, im not very good at writing poems.)


war
families cry because love ones die
who are we to blame?
its a shame that we involve ourselves in such violent games
and in the end, what are we to gain?
but a broken heart and web of lies
war is a lie
how are can you show your country's pride if in the end you die?


the last few lines aren't very good, but you can change it around.
