Hey spineys, does this sound like an arthritis related issue or something possibly more? I get this way often that i will be busy even with pain but then when my body has had enough it lets me know by telling me that i am not moving until getting help sitting up. I can move my legs ect. but i am not able to site up without help at this time of happening and even so it has gotten worse. Usually when i get up and move some i am somewhat better, not today, if i layed back down i can't get up again It's as if in my waist area it is nonmovable. Take care, Monkey

Gosh Monkey I dont really know what to say. Do you physically need someone to sit you up? I know when my pain gets to the level where I need to lye down my feet dont work. Its like no message is getting to the brain to move the feet and they just shuffle. Its like that untill I lie down. I dont have a choice at that stage as the pain is so bad I cant move much, upon resting the feet work again. I dont really know what to say in your case, is it that you need someone physically to get you out of the bed? has this just happened today that you couldnt get out of the bed? If you can give us some more detail, and someone might be able to help.............. I sure hope you are getting some relief ........ thinking of you.

Round

Round, yes they have to physically lift me forward or help me after i have moaningly rolled myself over on the side to have them help me up. My legs seem to not have anything to do with it, i can move them at the time just fine. No this is not the first time but the worst and no pain meRAB were working today not my corabination of the Vicodin, flexeral and the Lyrica i take, nothing. It is starting to calm down some this evening but not a whole lot.
Love, Monkey

round, i can only relate it somehwat to this: Spondylosis (hardening and stiffening of the spinal column, this is what describes this.

Actually Monkey, I've had SI Joint flareups that have done the same thing to me. It feels as if all the muscles around my waist are completely uncooperative, and I have to lean on something to straighten up if I've been sitting or lying down. The muscles usually spasm during the attempt as well.

paula, that does sound familiar as today was bad as well but my whole side and leg and foot are very very miserable for me. I almost fit the description of the Ankylosis Spodylosis. This all so frustuarting lately. I hope to get some answers soon with my upcoming appt. take care, Melissa
