Hi, about to lay a new lawn in preparation for my wedding end of July, as we are having our reception in the garden. I have 117 square metres to cover and am really struggling with money. Can anyone recommend a cheap but good turf supplier in the south east. I live in Sussex.

big thanks
Michelle

Argentine Bahia, there is a Pensacola you do NOT want the Pensacola. Get it down quick and give it plenty of water until it takes root. Use a low nitrogen fertilizer and iron to green it up faster, low nitrogen this time because you want to encourage roots not top growth. A week or two before wedding put down a light application of high nitrogen. water off surface to prevent burning. When mowing do not cut short like people tend to do. Cut it at 3 - 4 inch it will thick and lush.

Bahia...(there is no good bahia) can grow 2 foot tall/sideways, and it's as tuff as rope.

In a major drought all the fancy grass will Die where as .."St Augustine"... will survive,..

First-hand proof, to date.
