I'm starting to like Mystery novels, but I don't want to read anything lame like Sue Grafton of Nora Roberts. I really liike Dennis LeHane, and Jeffery Deaver's pretty good. Anybody know of any good authors along those lines? Thanks.

Patrica Cornwell, Dean Koontz, James Patterson and Iris Johanson (she's a little "fluffy" but a good writer) Anything by Dan Brown is a good bet.

Best mystery author ever, i love each one of her books, and she also has "Who killed my daughter" because in real lif her daughter was killed when she was like 18 or something, i read it too long ago, don't really remember but it has psychic things and mystery and police, and sad, and everything, it is the only one that is not fictional the others are fictional but there is a love story in each one of them exept in the none-fictional one, but there is a love story but the bf s scared of telling who killed her, apparently he knew who, but he was scared because he had problems with those people, you gotta read if if you want to know.... ;)

Plum Island, by Nelson DeMille is GREAT! I should re-read it. It was hilarious in it's small asides that were peppered here and there throughout the book.

other mystery writers: Harlen Coben, Michael Connelly (who is EXCELLENT, by the way). Dick Francis grows on you. Robert F. Parker does some KICKASS detective novels...
