Can anyone recommend a book for me?

I'm going on holiday next week, and I'm looking for a book to take with me to read on the beach.
I tend to read sort of 'chick lit', I don't want anything too heavy, I'd like something I can just read without thinking about if you get what I mean.
I quite like things by Cecelia Aherne, so anything like her books would be good.
Any suggestions?
 
Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plum Series is my recommendation for something good to read. I'm just curious..how exactly do you read without thinking?
 
in general your favourite singers biographies would be a good read.

Little Women (it's a classic)

Summer Sisters by Judy Blume

Nicholas Sparks -any of his books are good

Sarah Dessens' books
