Can anyone name these movies?

Hi guys,

There's a couple of movies I remember watching on TV ages back, but I can't for the life of me remember the names of em :rolleyes:

First one

There's a guy in a tiny aeroplane thingy, and his navigation equipment fails and he gets lost. A commercial passenger plane hears his SOS call and tries to find him. There's one bit I remember where the old guy pilot of the commercial jet tells the other guy to put his thumb up to the sun or something, to help him find his way. He enRAB up getting home even though he'd been running on fumes half the way.

Second one

There are two disabled people, one man who had speech difficulties (I don't know what his disability was) and a woman who was confined to a wheelchair and couldn't talk much. They live in a hospice or something similar. A relationship develops and the staff try to discourage it. The guy who was quite literate despite his disability was trying to move out and start his own life. There's an intimate scene in it.

That's all I can remember!

A film similar to the second one was on BBC FOUR a couple of years ago, but can't remember the name, I remember them making a big deal about it.
 
can someone help me with these ones, because I don't wantto start a new thread. Please bear with me because it's been a long time since I've seen either of them.

First one. 2 twins separated at birth have some sort of psychic powers and then they meet again in their teens at a big house. I can't remember if the work or live there. They escape and in the end they meet with lots of other twins and go to the top of a mountain where they go to another dimension. I seem to remember something about the psychic powers being purple or something :confused:

Second one. It's been years since I've seen this one, and can't really remember much. All I remember is a man has an uncurable disease and is frozen and sent to the future to when they'll have a cure. When he wakes up, he thinks his wife is dead and his brother's alive, but it turns out that his brother's dead and the wife is alive, or it could be the other way around.

Sorry I can't help with those two.
I'm looking for the names of two 50's? b movies the first has aliens in it that had hypodermic needles on the end of their fingers and injected alchohol in to the towns folk that's all I can remember from that one :confused: and the other has brains still attached to the spines acting like snakes in one scene not sure if atomic energy had anything to with it :confused: ..... probably did
 
Ok the first on is definately Escape to Witch Mountain - it rocked I think there was a sequel and Disney remade a few years ago.

The second one Fovever Young with Mel Gibson???
 
That's exactly the film that came to my mind too. If the OP's film was set in the late 60s/early 70s, it would make this more likely.
 
I remember seeing Escape to Witch Mountain when I was very young, think it may have scared me. Then wasn't there Return from Witch Mountain or something?
