Can anyone identify this type of palm like plant?

May or may not be a type of palm, but what I can figure out it the trunk is covered in old leaf base like a palm. Here's a link to picture:

hmm. I don't think its a yucca the leaves on this plant haven't grown any larger than they are. They seem to be pretty firm as well.
