I'm an artist (I use that term very loosely) who's always wanted to create a comic or graphic novel, but I've had difficulty fleshing out the story and creating interesting characters. I have faith that if I really worked at it, I could come up with something that I'd be proud to illustrate and share.
What I'm actually looking to do here is a sort of an experiment. I'm thinking about trying to write a new story, and I always start with developing the characters. As sort of a brainstorming exercise, I was wondering if some of you would be willing to offer your suggestions. Basically, I'll give you very little information on 2 separate characters, and you supply some more information off of the top of your head. I most likely won't use what others suggest, but it'll help me think of the many possibilities for the characters and the world they inhabit. I apologize if I'm asking too much.
The two characters are:
Jillian. 27 years old. Works as a florist at a supermarket.
Marcus. 24 years old. Currently unemployed.
