I have a middle aged prospect that is close to his peak, but he isnt good enough to be playing on my team. He only has a 1 way contract so I dont want to risk losing him by sending him to my farm team.
My question is, will it screw up his growth if I leave him as a healthy scratch or should I just risk losing him and send him to the minors or should I play him as my 6th Defenseman even though he isnt ready?
The problem I have with playing him now is that I want to play him when he is good enough to be a Top 4 Defenseman.. I dont want to play him now because his ice time will be low. Help?
